Event Details
Join us this growing season to try your hand at growing giant pollinators! Sign up to take home a small pack of seeds to start and care for all summer long. Allegany County Master Gardeners will provide care tips along the way in hopes that you'll attract pollinators to your yard or garden. At the end of the growing season, you can submit photos and measurements for a chance to win small prizes for the tallest sunflower, largest in diameter, and plant with the most blooms this summer. We can't wait to see what you grow!
- Register in-person at any ACLS Branch and receive Mammoth & Lemon Queen sunflower seeds (you can also use your own seeds, no need to register)
- Plant your seeds and care for them during this summer growing season
- Take photos and measurements and report your results for a chance to win prizes.
