Event Details

Students in grades 6–8 from participating schools and homeschool groups will face off in the culminating Battle of the Books competition at the FSU, hosted by the Children’s Literature Center. Teams will compete in brackets by grade level (6, 7, and 8) in a trivia-style format using questions drawn from this year’s book lists, including titles such as The Unteachables, Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library, Odder, New Kid, The Crossover, A Long Walk to Water, Chasing Lincoln’s Killer, The Giver, The Hobbit, The Hunger Games, and more.

This event is the capstone to a year of information sessions, trainings, and independent reading, celebrating students’ hard work, collaboration, and love of books.
