Purpose of Meeting
The Maryland Department of the Environment would like to invite you to attend an in-person meeting to discuss statewide access to educational training and workshops to support organics recycling. This meeting is one of a collection of stakeholder engagement on this topic. This meeting is specifically focused on the Mountainous Appalachian region and (will hopefully) include representation from all four states (MD, VA, WVa and PA).
As this area is considered more dense of dairy applications, crop residues, natural wood resources and residential food residuals, we will primarily be discussing these organics at this meeting.
Our goal is to identify education and training, a strategy for plans and pathways forward for these trainings and certifications, if applicable.
