Purpose of Meeting
The Maryland Professional Employees Council (MPEC) is made up of 5,000 Bargaining Unit G employees. MPEC was formed in 1997, when state employees won the right to collectively bargain. MPEC is made up of Unit G, which includes scientists, engineers, planners, information technology professionals, fiscal personnel and administrators as well as many other professional classifications in state employment.
