Event Details

October 2019 marks the 170th anniversary of Edgar Allan Poe's death. This event  honors the master of the macabre by delving into one of his most terrifying tales - "The Fall of the House of Usher."

Dr. Amy Armiento is a professor of English at Frostburg State University.  Since 2011, she has served on the executive committee of the Poe Studies Association, an international organization that supports the scholarly and informal exchange of information on the life, works, times, and influence of Edgar Allan Poe.  She now serves as the organization's president.  When she is not working, she enjoys reading, hiking the C&O Canal Trail with her dogs and family, and tracing her genealogy.

This event is free and open to the public.
