Get ready for a spooktacular Halloween with our Costume Swap! Starting September 23, you can drop off your gently used Halloween costumes all week long to the Frostburg Library. Then, on September 30th, join us to discover your next epic Halloween look. It's a ghoulishly good time for all, where you can trade your old costume for a new-to-you one. Sustainable, budget-friendly, and filled with frightful fun – join us for a Halloween Costume Swap you won't want to miss!

 

Before dropping a costume off, please consider:

  1. Cleanliness: Costumes should be freshly laundered before donation. Ensure that they are free of stains and odors. 

  2. Well-Maintained: Ensure that zippers, buttons, and fasteners are in working condition. Repair any minor damages before donating.

  3. Intact Accessories: Include all costume accessories, such as masks, hats, and props, if applicable. Make sure these are in good condition and not broken.

  4. Age-Appropriate: Avoid costumes with mature themes or inappropriate content.

  5. Age Labels: If possible, label costumes with the recommended age group or size to help us sort so patrons can find suitable options easily.

  6. Non-Discriminatory: Costumes should not perpetuate stereotypes or promote cultural insensitivity. Avoid costumes that may marginalize specific groups.

  7. Instructions: If a costume requires specific care or has special features, include any care instructions or information about these features with the donation.

  8. Privacy: Remove any personal items or nametags from the costumes to protect the privacy of the previous owner.
