Program Description

Event Details

People of all ages are welcome to do some "chalking!"  Draw and write inspiring messages, words of encouragement and kindness.  The goal is to provide opportunity for collaborate conversation in spite of difference, develop consensus in the place of division and create connectedness in our community.  Participate during Frostburg First's Spring Arts Walk on Saturday, April 29!  Find the Choose Civility table outside the library to pick up your Chalk Kit!

The Allegany County chapter of Choose Civility will celebrate the first "Month of Civility," because we can't fit it all into one day anymore!   The Allegany County chapter of Choose Civility was initiated by the Allegany County Library System, the Women’s Action Coalition of Greater Allegany County, and the 2018 class of Leadership Allegany. Choose Civility: Allegany County is a community-wide initiative to position the county as a model of civility by promoting civil conversations and kindness toward others.
