Event Details

Join local author Penny Knobel-Besa as she gives a story time for her debut book, The Forgotten Bear! A book signing will follow.

The Forgotten Bear follows a teddy bear who really wants to be a Christmas present but it's Christmas Eve and he's still sitting on the toy store shelf...

This event is free and open to the public. Copies of the book and teddy bears will be available for purchase. Books are $14.99 and book and teddy bear bundle is $30.

 

About the Author


Penny Knobel-Besa is a playwright, songwriter, director and producer. She is the founder of the Maryland Theatre Arts Company. Her children’s musical, Under Your Pillow, was performed Off
Broadway in New York and was picked up for development as a motion picture. Her musical plays Coppelia, Peter and The Wolf, and Dream Pirates premiered at The Embassy, an old art deco theatre she helped to revive. After retiring from theatre, she pursued fine art photography. Having once been named Maryland Photographer of the Year, she continues to exhibit and win awards. Her most recent play Almost Heaven debuted in 2022 proving one can never really retire from theatre. She lives in Allegany County, Maryland. The Forgotten Bear is her first published book.
