Holocaust survivor, Leo Bretholz, said many times, " People did not march quietly to the ovens.  Many of us resisted, fought, ran, and fought some more, grew up, fell in love, struggled to stay alive, found unforeseen courage, and persevered."  Jewish resistance took many forms from active sabotage to dying with dignity to fighting to stay alive to bear witness to Nazi atrocities, and to teach the world what can happen when hatred is allowed to take root.

Beth was Professor of Humanities at Garrett College in Western Maryland for over 30 years. She has had a life-long interest in the Holocaust and its lessons, and has worked to pass them on to her students. 

Creating Light is her first book.

This event is free and open to the community.
