Event Details
The event strives to educate parents of children from birth to age five on the importance of early childhood educational experiences. Education, health, and community resource professionals will be on-hand to answer questions parents may have regarding early childhood issues. There will also be free vision and speech screenings available
Children’s games and crafts, children’s prizes including books and bicycles, a library reading corner with story times, Magician Louis Paul, photos with story characters and door prize giveaways will all be part of the annual event. Parents will also have the opportunity to register their children for Head Start and Early Head Start programs.
Sponsors include the following: Allegany County Library System, The Judy Center, HRDC Head Start and Early Head Start, United Way, Allegany County Education Association, Cresaptown Eagles, Frostburg State University Education Department, Allegany County Teachers Federal Credit Union, KELCO Federal Credit Union and the Eta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma.
