Join us at the LaVale Library as we welcome award-winning author and illustrator, Matthew Cordell, for a special visit and demonstration as part of the 40th Children's Literature Festival of Frostburg State University and the R. Margaret Hamilton Community Outreach Hour.
Matthew Cordell is the creator of numerous beloved children's books, including Wolf in the Snow, Hello, Neighbor! The Kind and Caring World of Mister Rogers, Bear Island, and Wish. During his visit, he will be sharing insights into his creative process, discussing his inspirations and techniques, and showcasing his stunning artwork.
This event is a wonderful opportunity for children, parents, and educators to meet one of the most exciting voices in children's literature today. Whether you're a longtime fan of Matthew Cordell's work or you're discovering him for the first time, you won't want to miss this exciting and informative event.
The author visit and demonstration will take place on Friday, April 28 at 10:00 a.m. This event is free and open to the public.
Follow this event will be a small ribbon cutting ceremony for the library's new outreach and events van the ACLS express, everyone is invited to join us for a few remarks and to see the new van!
