Lawyer in the Library - Virtual Meeting

The Allegany County Library System and Allegany Law Foundation, Inc. will be launching their Lawyer in the Library program on Wednesday, April 28 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Lawyer in the Library sessions will be offered once every three months on legal topics such as estate planning, advance directives, bankruptcy, expungement, foreclosure, and eviction. Participants will be able to meet one on one with an attorney free of charge by internet at home or at one of three library branch locations: Washington Street, Frostburg, or George’s Creek.
The topic for the first session will be Estate Planning Basics. Estate planning is the process of arranging for the management of assets and possessions in the event that an individual becomes incapacitated or dies. Cumberland attorney, Chris Logson, whose practice focuses on estate and asset planning, will be available to answer participants’ questions and provide brief advice on powers of attorney, asset protection, and wills.
