Join Kwame Alexander--Emmy-winning producer and #1 NYT bestselling author--for an engaging conversation with Mt. Harmony's Dr. Melaney Sánchez. Together, they'll explore literacy, self-advocacy, and the power of community. As we approach America's 250th anniversary, this event honors our shared values of freedom, independence, and the joy of learning. Books will be available for sale and signing.

Celebrate the launch of Mighty Macy and his upcoming TV series America’s Next Great Author where the young main character discovers her library's hours have been cut and she's not happy.  She learns about finding her voice and speaking up for her community. 

Registration is requested for in-person attendance.  Doors open at 6pm.  If you cannot attend in person, you can watch the event on Calvert Library's YouTube channel.
