Love discussing true crime? Intrigued by the fascination with Charles Manson? Perplexed by the nature of the Dyatlov Pass? Come join Murder on a Monday, a virtual true crime discussion group! We will be exploring some big cases and mysteries along with sharing theories. New to the cases? That’s fine! We’ll send out a resources page so you can catch up or refresh your memory.
No reading is required to join, but we hope you come with things to share! The registration for the event will automatically sign you up for all events in this series, but which ones you attend is up to you.
Due to the graphic nature of most cases, this event is for those who are over the age of 18.
June 21 - Charles Manson & Tate Murders: The shocking and grisly murders of actress Sharon Tate and four other people by followers of cult leader Charles Manson on the night of August 8–9, 1969, in Los Angeles
July 5 - JonBenet Ramsey: JonBenét Patricia Ramsey was an American child beauty queen who was killed at the age of six in her family's home in Boulder, Colorado. A lengthy handwritten ransom note was found in the home.
July 19 - Natalie Wood: Actress Natalie Wood drowned off Santa Catalina Island on November 29, 1981, at age 43. The events surrounding her death have been the subject of conflicting witness statements.
August 2 - Dyatlov Pass Hikers Incident: nine Russian hikers died in the northern Ural Mountains between 1 and 2 February 1959, in uncertain circumstances.
August 16 - Zodiac Killer: The Zodiac Killer is the pseudonym of a famous American serial killer. The unidentified killer originated the name in a series of taunting letters and cards sent to the San Francisco Bay Area press.
