Read to Opie at the LaVale Library! Reading to a dog, or any pet, gives children a safe environment to practice their reading, make mistakes, and grow as a reader. All are welcome.

Opie was adopted from the Allegany County Animal Shelter at 3 months of age. He has visited in schools, churches, camps, nursing homes and even a couple Easter Egg hunts. He is loved by all who meet him and is always thrilled to meet and make new friends!
