Seed to Supper Program Series
Learn to grow your own food this spring! Join facilitator Sarah Llwellyn from University of Maryland Extension for a hands-on gardening series designed to take you from seed to harvest. In this six-week program, participants will explore every step of the home gardening process, from planning and planting to tending and enjoying the harvest.
Each one-hour session includes hands-on activities, take-home supplies, and practical tips based on the nationally recognized Seed to Supper curriculum.
Session Topics:
Planning Your Garden (includes grow light distribution and tomato/pepper plant starting)
Getting Started with Healthy Soil (winter sowing using milk jugs)
Planting Your Garden
Caring for Your Growing Garden
Continuing Garden Care
Harvesting and Using Your Bounty
Participants must register in advance and commit to attending all sessions.
All materials provided. Free giveaways of supplies including trowel, grow bags, gardening gloves, watering can, and rain gauge included with registration.
